There are also many restored historic homes and buildings dating from the 1840’s that can be visited on a walking tour and the Rocheport Museum is open on the weekends. Our town hosts a variety of events throughout the year including bicycle races, music festivals, a wine stroll, a wassail walk, a chocolate affair, and a caroling contest.

It  was created in September of 1994 for the development, advancement, management, conservation and protection of fish and wildlife resources. Bottomland forest was the dominant habitat along the Missouri River when Lewis and Clark traveled from St. Louis toward what is now Kansas City. There are several thousand acres of young (less than 20 years old) bottomland forest.
